Salary: $190,000–$220,000 USD

What you will do

• Design and implement mission-critical onboard software for autonomous vehicles.
• Develop high-performance interfaces for sensors, actuators, and vehicle control systems.
• Integrate ML runtimes and middleware to ensure reliable communication and execution.
• Build and maintain systems for vehicle provisioning, logging, and observability.
• Collaborate with hardware and autonomy teams to ship features and debug issues on-vehicle.
• Shape technical direction through design discussions and code reviews.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++ or C.
• Experience developing device drivers or low-level interfaces for sensors and actuators.
• Experience with resource-constrained embedded hardware and Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of communication protocols like SPI, UART, CAN, TCP, and UDP.
• Experience with robotics middleware such as ROS or ROS 2.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ML inference runtimes and edge systems.
• Experience with automotive or safety-critical systems.
• Background in autonomous vehicles or complex mechatronics.
• Performance engineering on embedded CPU/GPU and hardware accelerators.
