Training Qualification UK - Early Years Apprenticeship Assessment Assessor (Early Years): Deliver independent, fair, reliable apprenticeship assessment services for Early Years standards with an accent on consistent grading decisions, accurate assessment reporting, and internal quality assurance. Focus on managing a caseload, conducting 3–4 face-to-face assessments per week, and maintaining regulatory knowledge across safeguarding, duty of care, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety.
Location: Hybrid/Remote with travel for assessments (Southern and North West region)
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (DOE)

What you will do
- Manage an assigned caseload to complete all stages of the apprenticeship assessment journey on time and to standard.
- Deliver apprenticeship assessment activities with integrity and impartiality to ensure a fair, reliable, unbiased, and consistent assessment experience.
- Produce accurate assessment feedback and written reports using the correct regulatory paperwork and required systems.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of apprenticeship standards and assessment plans for Early Years Practitioner Level 2, Early Years Educator Level 3, and Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5.
- Participate in internal quality assurance (IQA), including sampling evidence, making judgements, and providing constructive developmental feedback.
- Travel as required for face-to-face assessments and support moderation/standardisation activities and development of assessment materials.
Requirements
- Ability to assess at least Early Years Educator Level 3, including having held a role in a childcare provision for at least 3 years (within the last 3 years).
- Current knowledge of the regulatory framework and requirements including safeguarding, duty of care, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety.
- Current DBS check.
- Relevant assessor qualification (D32/33, A1, T equivalent) or EPA qualification, with robust knowledge of assessment practice and techniques, including proficiency in remote assessment tools.
- Functional Skills Level 2 English and maths (or equivalent).
- Sound IT/digital literacy with proven experience using Microsoft packages, plus strong written and verbal communication and organisational/time-management skills.
Nice to have
- Relevant Internal Quality Assurer qualification (D34, V1).
- Experience delivering End-Point Assessment/Apprenticeship Assessment and engaging with External Quality Assurance activities.
- Understanding of supervising others to deliver Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements.
- 2 years experience working within schools and/or Teaching Assistant experience.
