Premium Audit Specialist

What you will do

• Conduct virtual workers' compensation insurance audits through phone interviews with policyholders.
• Analyze payroll records, employee duties, business operations, subcontractor exposures, legal entities, and supporting documentation.
• Apply NCCI, WCIRB, PCRB, and applicable state workers' compensation rules to determine accurate classifications and premiums.
• Prepare audit reports, review third-party audits, and assess expired policies for audit selection.
• Collaborate with underwriters, agents, customer service representatives, and policyholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Use analytics, automation, digital tools, and AI-assisted solutions to improve workflow efficiency and audit quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience in workers' compensation, premium auditing, insurance operations, underwriting support, accounting, finance, payroll administration, or business analysis preferred.
• Strong analytical, investigative, critical-thinking, interviewing, and information-gathering skills.
• Ability to interpret financial, payroll, and operational information and manage multiple assignments independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
• US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not provided now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Interest in technology, automation, data analytics, and AI tools for operational improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
