HR Specialist (HR Shared Services): Managing and developing a team of HR Advisors to provide front-line HR guidance and support with an accent on service excellence and operational performance. Focus on leveraging data, insight, and emerging AI technologies to optimize HR service delivery and enhance the colleague experience.

Location: Hybrid (Office base in Birmingham). Consideration may be given to base in London, Salford, Cardiff, Glasgow or Belfast.

Salary: Up to £53,000

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of HR Advisers in an inclusive environment.
• Ensure the consistent delivery of accurate and timely HR advice to employees and managers.
• Use data, KPIs, and SLAs to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
• Champion innovation by leveraging automation and emerging AI solutions to simplify HR processes.
• Oversee complex and confidential case escalations across a broad range of HR topics.
• Collaborate with hirify.global People to support organisational priorities and change initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading HR operations or shared services teams in customer-focused environments.
• Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle and ability to provide support across diverse HR topics.
• Ability to manage priorities within large, complex matrix organisations.
• Experience using HR systems, data reporting, and AI-driven tools to improve service delivery.
• Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a track record of building stakeholder trust.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the specified UK locations.

Nice to have

• MCIPD or equivalent professional qualification (Level 7).
• Experience with People systems such as SAP, SuccessFactors, or other HR case management platforms.
• Accreditation in mediation, coaching, or facilitation.
• Experience designing and delivering training or knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Experience working within complex, unionised, or highly regulated environments.
