What you will do

• Curate and manipulate large-scale datasets from diverse sources to provide high-quality data to the organization.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL processes and data pipelines using platforms like Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Develop enterprise data marts and efficient data models to support analytics, data science, and machine learning teams.
• Ensure data integrity, validation, and documentation for enterprise data assets.
• Manage pipeline SLAs, dependencies, and resolve technical failures or anomalies.
• Lead medium to large-scale projects, mentor junior engineers, and present technical designs.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or software development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale data platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, Hadoop, or Hive).
• Solid experience in data modeling and designing complex ETL processes.
• Proficiency in Python or an equivalent functional programming language.
• Proven track record of technical leadership and driving projects to completion.

Nice to have

• Experience with task orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science workflows.
• Experience with real-time data pipelines and distributed application design.
• Familiarity with Linux CLI and data governance practices.
