Junior Data Engineer (Climate Tech)

What you will do

• Ingest, analyse, and transform customer trade and supply chain data into internal data models.
• Write SQL to investigate data issues, validate expectations, and perform sanity checks.
• Build and improve ingestion and transformation steps within the data pipeline.
• Develop dashboards and internal tooling based on existing patterns.
• Monitor pipeline health, triage alerts using runbooks, and escalate issues with context.
• Develop deep domain knowledge of how supply chain data maps to carbon accounting.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL (professional, academic, or personal projects).
• Detail-oriented approach to handling messy, real-world operational data.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Must be based in London and able to work from the office at least 3 days a week.
• Strong communication skills and an ownership mindset.
• Passion for climate and sustainability.

Nice to have

• Exposure to data tooling such as BigQuery or dbt.
• Experience with BI tools like Metabase.
