What you will do

• Design, build, and scale distributed backend systems serving millions of users.
• Deliver features end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Architect real-time, low-latency APIs and backend services for AI-driven conversational systems.
• Develop cloud-native backend services in Java with reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Work on AWS-based deployments and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS).
• Ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, and compliance in high-throughput environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• BSc/BEng or Masters in Computer Science (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Java (17+).
• Proven experience designing and scaling backend systems for millions of users or high-throughput real-time services.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures (AWS or similar), Docker, and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Strong English communication skills to explain complex technical topics clearly.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java frameworks (Micronaut, Spring).
• Python experience.
• Experience with distributed data systems (Redis, Apache Kafka).
• Exposure to LLM integration (prompting, evaluation, observability).
• Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, and IaC.
