Senior Software Engineer (Java) - Remediation Agent

What you will do

• Architect the Unified Remediation Engine and backend decision logic routing requests across QuickFixes, LLM-based fixes, and agentic workflows.
• Build resilient production services for the hirify.global Remediation Agent, including self-healing workflows that iteratively fix code until builds pass.
• Design secure sandboxed execution environments for untrusted, AI-generated code.
• Implement safety and reliability mechanisms, including circuit breakers, high-availability services, and scalable AWS architecture.
• Optimize cost and performance while scaling systems to millions of events and controlling token usage.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and collaborate with the Research team on production-safe agent capabilities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building scalable, resilient systems.
• Strong AWS architecture experience, including high availability, low latency, and cost-aware design.
• Strong expertise in either Java or Python, with the ability to work effectively in the other language.
• Experience with asynchronous event-driven architectures, queues, and secure sandboxed execution environments.
• Practical experience orchestrating LLM applications, including RAG, context-window management, and prompt engineering at scale.
• Experience building telemetry or data pipelines and using metrics to distinguish user-experience issues from code-quality issues.
