Salary: $218,000–$300,000 + equity

What you will do

• Lead the strategy and roadmap for observability products, including logs, metrics, distributed tracing, and AI agent monitoring.
• Define observability standards for AI-native applications, focusing on model calls, tool usage, and token-based cost management.
• Collaborate with engineering on telemetry pipelines, architecture, and scalability.
• Prioritize foundational platform investments against customer needs and business objectives.
• Engage with customers to identify debugging challenges and infrastructure monitoring requirements.
• Advocate for developer experience to simplify the management of complex software systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience in observability, monitoring, or developer tools.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong understanding of the OpenTelemetry ecosystem and production instrumentation tradeoffs.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, logs, metrics, and traces.
• Familiarity with AI workload economics, including token pricing and LLM usage patterns.
• Ability to translate ambiguous technical challenges into clear product strategies.

Nice to have

• Experience managing AI agents, LLM platforms, gateways, or metering solutions.
• Background as an SRE, observability engineer, or contributor to open-source telemetry projects.
• Hands-on experience instrumenting AI agents in production environments.
