Compensation: $218,000 – $300,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for observability, spanning systems telemetry and AI-specific agent observability.
• Drive prioritization across observability investments, balancing foundational infrastructure with near-term product needs.
• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to shape the technical direction of the telemetry pipeline, optimizing for signal fidelity and query performance.
• Develop an opinionated point of view on observability for AI-native builders, including OTel conventions for agent workloads and token spend attribution.
• Engage with customers to understand debugging, monitoring, and spend management workflows to inform product direction.

Requirements

• 7+ years in Product Management with experience in observability, monitoring, developer tools, or infrastructure.
• Working fluency with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem, including signals, semantic conventions, and collectors.
• Familiarity with the economics of AI workloads, including token pricing and model selection tradeoffs.
• Deep developer empathy and the technical depth to make sound architectural tradeoffs.
• Track record of turning ambiguous, cross-cutting problems into clear strategy and shipped outcomes.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; new visa sponsorship is generally not available.

Nice to have

• Experience as an SRE, observability engineer, or infrastructure engineer.
• Hands-on experience building, instrumenting, or evaluating AI agents in production.
• Contributions to OpenTelemetry or adjacent open-source telemetry projects.
• Experience working on an LLM gateway, proxy, or metering product.
