TL;DR

Software Development Engineer III (AI): Designing and delivering real-time, AI-powered fraud and abuse defenses on a global scale with an accent on cloud-native decisioning and automated remediation systems. Location: Must be based in Austin, TX (Hybrid: required in-office at least three days a week). No relocation assistance available.

Salary: $146,000 – $204,500

What you will do

• Design and implement low-latency risk decisioning (signals, rules, models) and automated remediation systems.
• Build and operate agentic workflows and multi-agent systems to automate and reimagine manual operational processes.
• Apply AI-assisted SDLC practices including AI-accelerated design, code generation, and human-in-the-loop reviews.
• Modernize the platform using streaming data pipelines, microservices, and configuration-driven controls.
• Establish SLOs, observability, and safety mechanisms to ensure security, privacy, and compliance.
• Mentor other engineers and champion the adoption of AI within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience building high-scale production backend services.
• Proven experience shipping Gen AI and agentic systems to production.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages, system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling for AI services.
• Experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Langfuse) and RAG architecture (LlamaIndex, vector databases like Pinecone).
• Familiarity with cloud-native engineering (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data streaming/processing (Kafka, Flink, Spark).

Nice to have

• Track record of automating manual operational processes via agentic systems.
• Experience in marketplace, travel, or e-commerce domains.
• Knowledge of graph/sequence modeling or entity resolution at scale.
• Experience with cloud cost/performance tuning and capacity planning.
