What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–5 technical designers.
• Review construction drawings and design packages for accuracy, quality, and customer requirements.
• Manage priorities, workloads, and schedules for design deliverables.
• Collaborate with general contractors, preconstruction, and field operations teams.
• Lead construction design meetings to improve processes and project outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance cost efficiency, performance, and design execution.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work in Jackson, 53037
• Associate’s degree in drafting, architecture, or a related field.
• 7+ years of design experience in commercial construction, architecture, or structural design.
• 3+ years of experience in team leadership.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in resource planning, budget management, and performance tracking.

Nice to have

• Experience in shotcrete, themed construction, specialty construction, or immersive environments.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, Rhino, or 3D design platforms.
• Experience utilizing AI tools for design processes.
