Compensation: $190,000 – $230,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own product requirements and hardware specifications for NPI initiatives, ensuring they are precise and traceable.
• Partner with hardware engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to manage cost, performance, and schedule tradeoffs.
• Lead customer and field discovery sessions to translate operator pain points into actionable product specifications.
• Drive NPI program milestones, including EVT, DVT, and PVT build cycles, while flagging risks early.
• Collaborate with software and AI teams to ensure firmware and platform integration requirements are delivered in lockstep.
• Establish and improve the NPI playbook to govern the transition from concept to field deployment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years focused on hardware, IoT, or embedded systems.
• Track record of taking multiple hardware products from concept through mass production.
• Strong technical fluency in hardware development, including schematics, firmware, and test data interpretation.
• Experience managing PRDs, BOM cost management, and contract manufacturing partnerships.
• Proven ability to operate with autonomy in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with outdoor, ruggedized, or field-deployed hardware like panoramic imaging systems.
• Familiarity with connectivity technologies such as LTE/5G, LoRa, or satellite backhaul.
• Background in optical systems, image quality optimization, or computer vision hardware.
• Experience in climate tech, public safety, or infrastructure technology.
