What you will do

• Drive the technical strategy and architecture for the serving ecosystem to ensure scalability and evolution.
• Develop and optimize real-time serving systems delivering low-latency, high-throughput APIs for ML model predictions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Data Science to build Host pricing functionality and analytics.
• Define long-term workflow strategies and roadmaps for ML serving within the Host Pricing organization.
• Establish architectural standards and mentor senior engineers to elevate technical maturity.

Requirements

• 9+ years of engineering experience with a BS/MS or PhD in Computer Science or similar.
• Proven track record of leading teams, setting technical strategy, and launching high-impact models.
• Expertise in backend systems and large-scale service-oriented architectures.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners and balance short-term needs with technical quality.
• Strong problem-solving and production debugging abilities.
• Must live in a US state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
