What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend payment services to support a global travel platform.
• Write clean, maintainable, and optimized code using software design principles and computer science fundamentals.
• Implement secure data handling practices to protect payment information and ensure compliance.
• Enhance service reliability through observability, automation, and continuous operational improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features aligned with strategic goals.
• Recommend and apply architectural patterns or GenAI capabilities to drive innovation in system design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience in backend software development with cloud-based distributed systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience integrating services with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure/test automation, and Agile development.
• Must be based in Seattle, WA.

Nice to have

• Experience working on payment platforms or implementing GenAI-powered backend services.
• Proven experience designing and deploying scalable services on AWS.
• Experience supporting complex distributed systems in production through monitoring and root-cause analysis.
• Master's degree in a related technical field.
