What you will do

• Underwrite individual life insurance cases, including impaired risks, with an independent approval authority of up to $3 million.
• Analyze medical, financial, and non-medical information to determine appropriate risk classifications.
• Communicate underwriting decisions clearly and professionally to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with BGAs, independent agents, and internal sales partners.
• Manage a high-volume caseload while meeting production, quality, and time-service standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of life insurance underwriting experience.
• Proven ability to handle large and complex cases, including impaired risks.
• Experience working within the independent agent / brokerage (BGA) distribution channel.
• Authorization to work in the US (implied by benefits and location).

• Industry designations such as FALU, FLMI, or CLU.
• Completion of advanced industry coursework commensurate with experience.
