What you will do

• Develop automated workflows and reporting for financial operations to improve day-to-day efficiency.
• Spot bottlenecks, untangle manual processes, and design more reliable processes.
• Own small-scale optimization projects and key components of larger cross-functional initiatives.
• Translate operational workflows and business needs into clear technical outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers to align on scope requirements and progress across data and automation tracks.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United States (not hiring in Hawaii)
• 3+ years of professional experience in data analytics, operational insights, or using technology/data/process automation to improve business functions.
• High proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel, including data cleaning, merging, analysis, and applying standard statistical methods across multiple sources (e.g., Salesforce, Redshift, EHR).
• Proficiency in SQL with a critical-thinking approach for investigating data, pressure-testing outputs, conducting UAT, and troubleshooting pipeline/logic issues.
• Proven ability to unpack operational workflows and independently translate them into clear technical outcomes.

Nice to have

• Foundational knowledge of Python for basic scripting, data manipulation, or automating repetitive tasks.
• Experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to map processes and remove manual bottlenecks (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk).
• Familiarity with financial/transactional/billing datasets (e.g., accounts receivable, collections, throughput metrics).
• Ability to build well-structured reports and clearly explain what the data means for operational leads.
