TL;DR
Principal DevOps Engineer (AWS/Python): Designing and delivering an internal self-service Engineering Platform to enable independent software delivery for real-time payment authorization services with an accent on reducing cognitive load for security and compliance. Focus on building scalable cloud-native infrastructure, automating account provisioning, and creating developer-centric tooling.
Location: Hybrid in Stockholm, Sweden. Must have a valid Swedish work permit.

What you will do
- Design and deliver an internal self-service platform to provide development teams seamless access to necessary tools.
- Reduce non-development overhead and cognitive load related to security, governance, and compliance.
- Build and operate the platform supporting real-time authorization services.
- Enable fast, independent software delivery tied to observable business outcomes.
- Work within a domain-driven team and participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with strong production Python skills.
- Deep expertise in AWS (ELB, Route 53, Lambda, IAM, DynamoDB, S3, RDS) and cloud-native networking.
- Proficiency in Go and REST APIs/HTTP(S), including managing proxies with NGINX.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and AWS multi-account strategies.
- Practical CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Docker, and AWS ECS.
- Valid Swedish work permit required.
Nice to have
- Experience with React.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
- Experience applying AI-driven approaches to operations and tooling.
- Experience building secure and/or PCI-DSS certified solutions.
