Principal DevOps Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Stockholm, Sweden. A valid Swedish work permit is required.

What you will do

• Design and deliver an internal engineering platform for real-time authorization services.
• Build self-service tooling that enables development teams to create, test, launch, and monitor services independently.
• Reduce delivery delays and the operational burden associated with security, governance, and compliance.
• Automate AWS account provisioning and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Support platform operations at scale and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across domain-driven teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, including production Python.
• Strong Python and Go skills, with experience building REST APIs and working with HTTP(S), proxies, and NGINX.
• Experience with AWS services including ELB, Route 53, Lambda, IAM, DynamoDB, S3, and RDS.
• Knowledge of cloud-native networking, AWS multi-account strategies, Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, and preferably AWS ECS.
• Experience with SSO, authentication, access control, AWS Cognito, Flask, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect.
• Fluent English and/or Swedish and a valid Swedish work permit are required. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field is expected.

• React experience.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification or equivalent expertise.
• Experience applying AI-driven approaches to operations and tooling.
• Experience with secure or PCI-DSS certified solutions.
• Public code, technical writing, or projects demonstrating engineering work.
