DevSecOps Engineer (EdgeOps)

What you will do

• Create and refine GitLab CI/CD pipelines for cross-compiled and embedded builds.
• Automate build, test, and deployment workflows across on-premises edge hardware and Google Cloud Platform.
• Apply DevSecOps principles to secure and trace software delivery for edge computing systems.
• Manage artifact lifecycles, OCI and Docker-based multi-architecture containerisation, and deployment scripts.
• Collaborate with firmware and electronics teams to integrate and test microcontrollers, sensor boards, and autopilot hardware.
• Connect on-premises infrastructure with GCP, implement Zero Trust identity controls, migrate workloads, and optimize latency and egress costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in EdgeOps, DevSecOps, or DevOps.
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Git, and Git Flow.
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Expertise in Linux, including Debian or Ubuntu, and ARM64 cross-compilation.
• Knowledge of GitLab Runners or comparable tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms and GCP services such as GCE, Cloud Build, and Artifact Registry.
• Hands-on experience with embedded hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson or Raspberry Pi and MCU firmware integration.
