TL;DR

Manager, Compliance (Banking & Lending): Overseeing and enhancing the Compliance Management System for consumer credit and banking products with an accent on regulatory adherence, issue remediation, and partner-bank expectations. Focus on applying consumer financial protection laws like ECOA, TILA, and UDAAP to real-world product scenarios while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: Must be based in the United States (Hybrid in New York or Miami, or Remote)

Salary: $129,500–$185,000

What you will do

  • Supervise and develop junior compliance team members supporting CMS activities.
  • Act as a primary liaison between internal stakeholders and partner-bank representatives.
  • Drive the execution and validation of remediation plans for audit and examination findings.
  • Review marketing materials and customer communications for regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the design of risk assessment frameworks to evaluate control effectiveness.
  • Provide risk-based guidance to product and operations teams on applicable laws and policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 6+ years of experience in regulated financial services, fintech, or lending compliance.
  • Deep understanding of consumer financial protection laws including UDAAP, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, and EFTA.
  • Proven ability to work within the United States regulatory environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with an ownership mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with credit card programs or banking-as-a-service.
  • Familiarity with regulatory examinations and CFPB complaint responses.
  • Professional certifications such as CRCM or CAMS.
