TL;DR
Principal Engineer (AI): Driving technical direction for product domains and platform capabilities with an accent on AI-augmented engineering and agentic workflows. Focus on architecting systems for AI contribution, remediating technical debt, and elevating engineering standards across cross-functional teams.
Location: Must be based in the US (100% remote)
Salary: $175,000 – $185,000 Annually USD

What you will do
- Drive technical direction for significant product domains and platform capabilities.
- Lead architectural debt remediation efforts to improve system reliability and maintainability.
- Partner with leadership to assess roadmap feasibility and provide technical guidance.
- Elevate engineering craft through RFCs, mentorship, and promotion of best practices.
- Shape AI-agent review processes and adapt architecture for agentic contributions.
- Standardize agentic development tools while balancing velocity, cost, and security risks.
Requirements
- Must be based in the US
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in .NET/C# with experience scaling production backend services.
- Experience designing and integrating AI/ML-powered features and LLM services.
- Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools and AI pair-programming assistants.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Nice to have
- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring.
