What you will do

• Lead AI Platforms initiatives spanning Search Relevance, Machine Learning Infrastructure (MLI), and Search Knowledge Infrastructure (SKI).
• Collaborate with ML engineers, infrastructure engineers, and product managers to develop holistic marketplace solutions.
• Shape technical direction and prototype project ideas through iterative development cycles.
• Define and align stakeholders on measurable success criteria to accelerate AI initiatives.
• Manage risks and communicate trade-offs, risks, and emerging opportunities to senior leadership.

Requirements

• 13+ years in technical program management with 8+ years leading and mentoring TPM teams.
• Must be based in the United States (in a state where Airbnb is registered).
• Demonstrated experience in search relevance, natural language search, and recommendation systems.
• Expertise with ML models, LLMs, LRMs, feature development, and resource management.
• Strong ability to resolve ambiguity and drive complex initiatives to completion.
• Proficiency in A/B testing, incremental delivery, and deployment.
