What you will do

• Design and develop Ethernet, PCIe, and FlexE PHY low-level drivers.
• Develop firmware and L1 switch protocol software.
• Convert customer requirements into API definitions and implement, test, and maintain APIs.
• Perform code reviews, bug fixes, and ongoing maintenance of driver code and SDK/standalone release branches.
• Review test plans and support unit-level testing of drivers; add automation and scripting to the development flow.
• Act as a technical liaison between chip development and application/customer teams, answering customer questions and supporting complex platform debugging.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in embedded/device driver/protocol software design, development, and testing.
• Strong C/C++ coding and debugging experience, including static code analysis.
• Working knowledge of PCIe retimers and switches; experience with FW development for RX equalization, DFE/FFE adaptation, and eye monitoring of SerDes IP.
• Experience with pre-silicon/RTL and software co-simulation environments; experience debugging customer system software on complex platforms.
• Working knowledge of Ethernet MAC and physical layer devices/transceivers, including IEEE 802.3 physical layer standards, Autonegotiation, transmit training, and FEC (preferred).
• Working knowledge of Linux/VxWorks (or equivalent OS) and hardware understanding/schematics; bus protocol knowledge such as MDIO and I2C is required.
