Location: Must be based in the United States. While the company embraces remote work, they prioritize candidates in hubs including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, and Austin. Requires occasional onsite support (1-2 times per year).

Salary: $172,000 – $190,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Drive low-level Qualcomm Android BSP bring-up and devicetree modifications.
• Collaborate with electrical engineering and application teams to ensure device stability.
• Develop and debug firmware for Application Digital Signal Processors (ADSP).
• Implement pSIM frameworks and customize bootloaders (XBL/ABL).
• Optimize performance and latency between hardware layers and cloud-connected applications.
• Contribute to the stability, debug workflow, and triage of active camera programs.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 8+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Mastery of C and C++.
• Experience with chipset bring-up within Linux or Android ecosystems.
• Deep knowledge of Android system architecture (HAL, Kernel, Build System).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain FBI CJIS certification.

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of Linux internals (memory/power management, IRQ handling).
• Experience with Qualcomm proprietary subsystems.
• Experience with battery-powered or power-constrained devices.
• Experience with Kotlin and Android app development.
