Hardware Engineer

Location: Complete on-site in Benton Harbor, Michigan, United States; travel to Arrow client office locations may be required.

Annual hiring range: $79,900–$126,500.

What you will do

• Design and develop electronic hardware, schematics, PCB layouts, sensor boards, and HMI module integrations.
• Design boards using microprocessors such as iMX8 and iMX9 and microcontrollers such as ESP32 and STM32.
• Implement and review display, camera, USB, sensor, and serial interfaces, including MIPI DSI, LVDS, HDMI, CSI, SPI, I2C, UART, and related protocols.
• Perform signal integrity, power integrity, thermal analysis, Gerber reviews, laboratory testing, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Conduct board bring-up, functional, EDVT, thermal, performance, and field-use-case testing.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, fabrication, assembly, and integration teams on component selection, PCB dimensions, and production readiness.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in electrical or electronics engineering and at least 8 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience designing boards with microprocessors and microcontrollers.
• Experience with Altium or Cadence for schematic and layout design.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC laboratory testing, UL/FCC requirements, and certification activities.
• Ability to support FCC, IC, and CE certification testing across multiple countries and resolve certification issues.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Benton Harbor, Michigan, and travel to client office locations when requested.
