Senior PCB Layout Engineer

Location: Onsite in Sunnyvale, California, United States; primarily working from an HPE office.

Salary: USD 105,500–213,500 annual base salary in California, with possible variable incentives.

What you will do

• Design engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and hardware systems.
• Develop test plans and validate tolerances, form, fit, function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, thermal generation, and system power.
• Conduct feasibility studies, design-margin analysis, empirical testing, modeling, and validation of component, circuit, and hardware designs.
• Collaborate with management and internal and outsourced development partners on design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
• Lead electrical hardware engineers and development partners in delivering reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.
• Represent the electrical hardware team on complex development projects and mentor less-experienced staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Typically 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience using electrical design tools and software packages.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including electrical design, modeling, testing, and validation.
• Mastery of English and the local language, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate product architectures, present design proposals, and negotiate options at management levels.
