Associate Environmental Scientist

TL;DR

What you will do

• Participate in all phases of site investigation and remediation, from proposal development to final reporting.
• Conduct field work including oversight of subcontractors during drilling, excavation, and construction activities.
• Perform sampling of various media including soil, groundwater, sediment, soil vapor, and air.
• Execute Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM E1527 standards.
• Review laboratory analytical data and prepare technical reports, soil boring logs, and figures.

Requirements

• BS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Environmental Science.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel and conduct extensive field work.
• Ability to wear a respirator and pass pre-employment/random drug testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Investigations.
• Working knowledge of NJDEP regulations.
• OSHA 40-Hour Training and current 8-hour refresher.
