What you will do

• Support environmental compliance sampling and technical services on commercial vessels, harbor craft, and industrial waterfront facilities.
• Coordinate with vessel crews and port agents to schedule attendances.
• Conduct sampling and transport collected samples to the laboratory for analysis.
• Adhere strictly to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) to maintain sample integrity and prevent contamination.
• Work safely in active port and industrial environments following all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of applicable experience.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely.
• Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), sample handling, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules to support vessel operations.

Nice to have

• Experience in environmental compliance, wastewater treatment, or industrial water sampling.
• Familiarity with vessel environmental regulations such as VGP, IMO, or ballast water programs.
• Previous experience in maritime, military, Coast Guard, merchant marine, or port operations.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with sensor calibration or emissions testing.
