What you will do

• Manage projects including the preparation of proposals, work plans, reports, and fiscal administration.
• Lead field team activities and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver site assessments and remediation plans.
• Perform detailed technical writing and reviews of reports, data collection, and interpretation.
• Coordinate with environmental regulatory agencies and act as the project representative in meetings.
• Provide technical oversight for investigations involving groundwater, soil, surface water, vapor intrusion, and PFAS.
• Manage regulatory permitting and compliance for waste and wastewater regulations, including UST and brownfields.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Licensed Geologist in North or South Carolina.
• At least 8 years of professional environmental experience, with at least 3 years supervising hazardous substance or waste disposal site investigations.
• Proficiency in M365 and project tracking software such as Deltek.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Registered Site Manager (RSM) in the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Registered Environmental Consultant Program.
• Qualification to serve as a testifying expert witness for litigation cases.
