What you will do
- Lead end-to-end hardware integration and vehicle commissioning from architecture to deployment.
- Design and improve standardized hardware integration and commissioning processes.
- Create component, integration, and test specifications to ensure performance and reliability.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert for hardware fabrication, system bring-up, and validation.
- Partner with mechanical, electrical, software, and autonomy teams to integrate complex systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Systems) with 6+ years of experience, or Master's with 4+ years.
- Experience designing, integrating, and validating complex electromechanical systems.
- Proven track record in leading hardware integration, system bring-up, or vehicle commissioning.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and systems integration principles.
- Experience developing hardware requirements, specifications, and test procedures.
- Ability to manage external suppliers and hardware procurement.
Nice to have
- Experience with autonomous vehicle hardware platforms.
- Familiarity with sensors including cameras, LiDAR, radar, GPS, and IMUs.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical architectures and networking.
- Experience with DFMEA and hardware quality processes.
