What you will do

• Own features end-to-end from the initial design phase to production.
• Influence system architecture and collaborate closely with product and design teams.
• Ensure VoIP systems remain reliable and performant as the platform scales.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and raising the team's technical standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and shipping production systems.
• Proven track record of owning problems end-to-end, from definition to delivery.
• Expertise with VoIP platforms such as FreeSwitch, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, or Asterisk.
• Hands-on daily experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot).
• Must be based in the United States (indicated by 401k and HQ location).

Nice to have

• Experience at a fast-moving startup or SaaS company.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and horizontal scaling.
• Hands-on experience with WebRTC (SDP negotiation, ICE/STUN/TURN).
• Proficiency in packet capture utilities and network diagnostics.
• Experience with network, server, and application-status monitoring tools.
