What you will do

• Own external communications strategy for product launches across the Agent Stack and Core Platform.
• Oversee communications for the open-source portfolio, including Next.js, Turbopack, and shadcn/ui.
• Develop thought leadership narratives that position Vercel within the broader infrastructure landscape.
• Partner with Content Engineering to create engaging social content and campaigns for developer audiences.
• Support community programming and conference activations in collaboration with DX Engineering.
• Elevate the public profiles of Vercel's product leadership and open-source maintainers.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in communications, PR, or product marketing.
• Direct exposure to developer tools, infrastructure, or technical products.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills capable of translating technical work for developer audiences.
• Experience managing multi-channel, cross-functional programs.
• Ability to work directly with engineers, PMs, and technical leadership.
• Must be located in San Francisco and able to work from the office on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

Nice to have

• Genuine fluency in open-source culture and community engagement.
• Experience as an open-source contributor or maintainer.
• Interest in and proficiency with using agents in your workflow.
• Familiarity with the frontend/JavaScript ecosystem.
