BIM Technician III

TL;DR

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain BIM models, including layouts, details, schedules, and drawings for mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration, technology, and/or electrical systems.
• Create and implement project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), maintain BIM process documentation, and lead BEP development for the architect.
• Set up and maintain models (base cleaning, sheet/view setup), monitor model integrity, and generate reports on model health and compliance.
• Run clash detection and produce clash reports, then collaborate with project teams to resolve clashes.
• Create advanced families and schedules; develop complex scripts and automation tools to improve BIM workflows.
• Support BIM-related project coordination and assist with limited project management responsibilities under supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in a relevant BIM field plus 6 years of progressive BIM experience, or 8 years of progressive BIM experience without a degree (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, or electrical drawings); BIM certificate may count toward 1 year of experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering design, A&E industry codes, design guides, and standards.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Dynamo, and Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360; advanced proficiency in Imaginit Clarity required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required; ability to understand and troubleshoot BIM-related software.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
