What you will do

• Set the research direction and program of work across two major portfolios.
• Translate research evidence into actionable strategic direction for product and design leadership.
• Influence roadmaps and investment decisions at the director and VP level.
• Establish research quality standards and mentor cross-functional partners in research methods.
• Conduct high-stakes generative and evaluative research studies.
• Build a durable, shared understanding of platform customers across the ecosystem.

Requirements

• Must be based in Mountain View, California
• Deep command of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Proven track record of research that directly influenced product or portfolio strategy.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex insights clearly.
• Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and associated trust/ethics questions.
• Typically 8+ years of hands-on industry research experience.
