What you will do

• Perform end-of-life technical procedures on mice including gross necropsy, anesthesia, and euthanasia.
• Execute blood and tissue collection according to study protocols.
• Process, label, and store research samples accurately.
• Record study data within the laboratory information management system.
• Maintain laboratory organization, supply stocking, and sample labeling.
• Participate in a rotating schedule for weekend and holiday coverage.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in Rockville, MD.
• Strong computer skills for data management.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable with routine exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and laboratory chemicals.
• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks with fine motor skills.
• Must be available for rotating weekend and holiday shifts.

Nice to have

• BS degree in animal science, biology, pharmacology, or a related field.
• AALAS ALAT certification.
• 1 year of related experience in a Contract Research Organization or similar research setting.
