Principal/Sr. Principal Scientist (Toxicology)

Salary: $141,500 – $321,490

What you will do

• Provide scientific leadership in the safety assessment of therapeutics throughout the drug development process.
• Design, implement, and supervise toxicology studies to support program advancement and decision-making.
• Prepare and review regulatory documentation and study reports for global health authorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage potential safety liabilities and communicate impacts.
• Mentor toxicologists and contribute to inter-departmental scientific initiatives.
• Represent the company in meetings with regulatory authorities.

Requirements

• PhD and post-doctorate or equivalent experience in toxicology or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 3-8+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry.
• Extensive experience in drug development and interaction with global regulatory authorities.
• Strong decision-making, complex problem-solving, and critical data analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build productive cross-functional collaborations.

Nice to have

• Experience in oncology, cardiovascular, respiratory, or metabolism therapy areas.
• Experience with diverse therapeutic modalities such as small molecules, degraders, and ADCs.
• Board certification in toxicology.
