What you will do

• Analyze and evaluate examination and test results against applicable safety requirements.
• Conduct on-site inspections and audits of quality systems at manufacturing facilities.
• Use technical judgment to determine compliance and facilitate corrective actions for variations.
• Communicate with manufacturers, customers, and authorities regarding safety standards and policies.
• Document examination results, maintain inspection logs, and manage scheduling.
• Perform measurements using specialized equipment such as micrometers and voltmeters.

Requirements

• University Degree or Technical Certification in Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Must be located or willing to relocate to the Madison, WI area.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to interpret schematic diagrams.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally for daily client site visits.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions.
• Ability to work at heights when required for inspections.

Nice to have

• Experience in Field Engineering, Compliance, or Quality Engineering.
• ASQ certification.
• Knowledge of UL Standards, 508A, or Industrial Control Panels.
• Experience with Lightning Protection.
