TL;DR
Junior Java Developer (iGaming): Developing and maintaining high-load platform components for transaction processing and business intelligence with an accent on Java Core, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka. Focus on building scalable data streaming solutions, optimizing system performance, and ensuring reliability through rigorous unit and integration testing.
Location: Must be based in Lviv, Ukraine. The role follows a hybrid work schedule (80/20 office/home until end of 2026, transitioning to primarily office-based in 2027).

What you will do
- Extend and optimize the platform's Rules Engine.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects.
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure high software quality.
- Support deployment and maintenance of applications in development and production environments.
- Document code, processes, and technical specifications.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of Java Core, including collections, performance tuning, and garbage collection.
- Expertise in multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous computations.
- Strong experience in developing and consuming RESTful services.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and RDBMS theory.
- Practical experience with the Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Proven experience with Apache Kafka.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Online Casino or Sports Betting systems.
