What you will do
- Manage operator licence obligations and ensure vehicle details are current on the VOL system.
- Ensure full compliance with UK and EU transport legislation and HSE requirements.
- Conduct driver and transport controller inductions and lead regional transport meetings.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, safety inspections, and statutory testing like MOTs.
- Monitor driver hours, tachograph usage, and competence training.
- Support internal and external audits and resolve non-conformances via the health and safety system.
Requirements
- Must be based in South East London, United Kingdom
- Proven experience in fleet management or transport compliance.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU transport legislation and operator licence obligations.
- Ability to manage maintenance records, tachograph data, and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence in delivering training and leading transport functions.
