Analytics Engineer (Medtech)

TL;DR

Analytics Engineer (SQL/Python/BigQuery): Building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines and core data schemas for a global health platform with an accent on data trustworthiness and pipeline lineage. Focus on designing unified sources of truth and implementing governance rules to support the AI layer.

Location: Hybrid (Typically 3 days in the office per week in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam)

What you will do

• Build and maintain ingestion pipelines from operational sources (Firestore CDC, event tracking APIs, Backend services) into a centralized data store.
• Design and evolve core data schemas to serve as the unified source of truth across all hirify.global products.
• Define data ingestion standards and serving mechanisms via direct BigQuery access, Data API, and BI tools.
• Implement transparent pipeline lineage and define governance rules to ensure data quality before it reaches the AI layer.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience working with data in a product or platform context.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, BigQuery, and dbt.
• Strong expertise in schema and domain modeling, and end-to-end pipeline work (extraction, transformation, structured storage).
• Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD, and code reviews.
• Background in fast-paced startup environments with continuous deployment and test-driven development.
• Excellent English communication skills in a professional capacity.

Nice to have

• Experience building structured knowledge layers, ontologies, or domain taxonomies to ground AI outputs.
• Experience using LLMs via API (Vertex AI, OpenAI, or equivalent) and familiarity with agentic system data flows.
• Background in health or behavioral data.
