Software Architect

TL;DR

What you will do

• Design and evolve scalable software architectures for enterprise applications.
• Modernize legacy monoliths into cloud-native microservices using Strangler Fig, CDC, and event-driven architecture.
• Develop production-ready services using Java (Spring Boot), Laravel (PHP), and React.
• Design RESTful APIs and asynchronous integrations with Kafka and Amazon SQS.
• Architect distributed system boundaries, data ownership, and communication strategies.
• Implement and operate cloud solutions on AWS, including troubleshooting production issues and driving long-term improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise software solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Professional experience with Laravel (PHP) and React.
• Extensive experience with distributed systems and cloud-native applications, including microservices and modular monolith approaches.
• Experience with asynchronous communication using Kafka and/or Amazon SQS, plus CDC technologies (e.g., Debezium).
• Strong AWS experience (ECS, EC2, DynamoDB, SQS, RDS, VPC, IAM, Systems Manager Parameter Store) and ability to troubleshoot complex production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing large-scale monolithic applications.
• Containerization experience (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
• Observability tools experience (New Relic, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Redis/distributed caching experience and Agile/Scrum experience.
