Senior Software Architect (SaaS)

Location: Hybrid role based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, with 3 days per week in the Atlanta office

What you will do

• Architect and design scalable, secure, multi-tenant SaaS applications for government agencies.
• Set architectural direction, technical standards, and technology selections across frameworks, tools, and cloud platforms.
• Lead complex architectural decisions while balancing immediate delivery with long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Partner with engineering leadership, product managers, and stakeholders on technical requirements, integrations, and roadmaps.
• Ensure solutions meet SOC 2 and PCI security and compliance standards.
• Guide engineering teams on SaaS development, deployment, performance, reliability, and architectural best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a software architect, preferably working with SaaS products in government or the public sector.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, PHP, or JavaScript and related frameworks.
• Experience with API development, integration patterns, and secure data exchange protocols.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI or machine learning capabilities into SaaS applications.
• Background in DevSecOps and security-first architectural design.
• Experience implementing identity management and access control for government applications.
• AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect certification.
