What you will do

• Translate game scripts, manuals, web content, and QA bugs from Japanese to English.
• Create localization preparation materials, including term lists, character descriptions, and VO scripts.
• Play game builds to gain context and share summaries with the project team.
• Collaborate with editors and project leads to resolve linguistic nuances, jokes, and idioms.
• Maintain and update translation style guides, glossaries, and story bibles.
• Support voiceover recording sessions and provide QA bridge support during LQA periods.

Requirements

• Fluency in Japanese (written and verbal) is required.
• Must be based in Irvine, CA to fulfill in-office work requirements.
• 1-2+ years of professional translation experience.
• Proficiency in English grammar.
