Location: Hybrid - San Francisco, CA (Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to come into the office 2-3 days per week)

Salary: $172,500 - $203,000

What you will do

• Define and implement best-in-class manufacturing processes to meet design and operational requirements.
• Partner with Quality and Material Engineers to optimize hardware for cost, reliability, and cosmetics.
• Identify, research, and qualify global equipment manufacturers and suppliers.
• Use data and Design of Experiments (DOE) to drive process decisions and influence industrial design.
• Manage global suppliers to optimize mechanical component production and resolve production issues.
• Provide leadership and support at manufacturing sites during development and production ramp-up.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Supplier Development, Manufacturing, or Supplier Industrialization Engineer in a mechanical environment.
• Proven track record of qualifying manufacturing processes from NPI to Mass Production with global suppliers.
• Expertise in conducting Design For Manufacturing (DFM) reviews to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for failure modes and design issues.
• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing, fixture design, and qualification procedures.
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area; ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.

• Experience with highly cosmetic parts or health wearable devices.
