What you will do

• Lead supplier capability development initiatives to improve quality, scalability, and long-term readiness.
• Develop supplier improvement roadmaps and long-term plans aligned with procurement and engineering priorities.
• Own supplier improvement activities including Kaizens, process optimization, and cost reduction efforts.
• Partner with Strategic Procurement on category strategy, diversification, and new supplier qualification.
• Lead and mentor a growing team of Supplier Development Engineers, providing technical guidance and prioritization.
• Perform supplier capability assessments, technical evaluations, and make-versus-buy analyses.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical functions.
• Demonstrated experience leading supplier qualification and capability development initiatives.
• Strong technical problem-solving and project leadership skills with cross-functional impact.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Alameda, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Background in supplier diversification, second sourcing, or supplier transfer initiatives.
• Experience leading supplier Kaizens and continuous improvement activities.
• Experience managing global suppliers and complex supply chains.
