Salary: $215,000 - $230,000 plus annual bonus

What you will do

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering organization through hiring, mentorship, and fostering a culture of ownership.
• Drive architectural direction and tradeoffs across a complex commerce stack including Shopify and NetSuite.
• Improve developer velocity by reducing friction and optimizing tooling for faster, safer feature delivery.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data teams to sequence roadmaps and ensure alignment with business outcomes.
• Reduce key-person risk by establishing documentation, shared technical understanding, and system redundancy.
• Own production quality, reliability, and incident management for a high-traffic ecommerce platform.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 6+ years in engineering management.
• Proven track record of building tools and systems that enhance developer productivity.
• Strong technical credibility to hold the architecture bar and provide strategic feedback to senior engineers.
• Experience managing vendor-heavy, integration-dense commerce stacks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while maintaining clear focus and urgency.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex tradeoffs to leadership.
