Transportation Planning Intern

TL;DR

Transportation Planning Intern (Consulting): Supporting the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) team in Northern Colorado with an accent on stakeholder outreach, marketing campaign design, and administrative project coordination. Focus on facilitating board meetings, managing TMO communications, and performing data analysis to improve regional transportation infrastructure.

Location: Must be based in the Northern Colorado region (Loveland, Fort Collins, or Greeley) with a hybrid work arrangement.

Salary: $22.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Represent the Transportation Management Organization (TMO) at community events.
• Act as a liaison between TMO members and regional stakeholders.
• Design and execute email marketing and social media campaigns.
• Coordinate website updates, member management, and event flyers.
• Facilitate and record monthly board meeting minutes.
• Support administrative tasks including bus pass orders and incentive program management.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Northern Colorado region to support local project requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for public interaction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and interest in transportation outreach.
• Preferred: Graduate students in Urban Planning, Communications, or Public Administration.
• Ability to manage social media and email marketing tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with GIS mapping software.
• Design skills using Canva.
