Head of Billing Operations (AI)

What you will do

• Set the multi-year strategy and organizational model for Revenue and Billing Operations across a complex, multi-service, multi-entity 3PL platform.
• Own contract-driven billing for parcel and fulfillment services, including client-specific billing configurations, pricing structures, and scalable workflows.
• Partner with Engineering and Data teams to improve data flows, billing logic, integrations, automation, auditability, and revenue capture across ERP, WMS, TMS, parcel, and billing systems.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606, support month-end close, and deliver reporting on revenue, billing accuracy, and margin by customer and service line.
• Drive AI adoption and automation in billing logic, invoice processing, exception handling, and team workflows.
• Lead directors and managers while overseeing controls, audits, sales tax compliance, cost recognition, margin improvement, and cross-functional alignment.

Requirements

• 12–18 years of progressive experience in revenue operations, billing, finance, or related roles, preferably in logistics, 3PL, or high-volume transaction environments.
• Experience designing or transforming a revenue or billing function at scale.
• Strong understanding of usage-based, contract-driven, and multi-service pricing models.
• Experience working across ERP, WMS, TMS, billing, and data systems and partnering with Engineering or Data teams on automation.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606; software revenue experience is a plus.
• Exceptional communication, executive influence, attention to detail, accountability, and continuous-improvement skills.

• Experience in logistics, 3PL, high-volume transaction environments, or software revenue.
