Lead Software Engineer

What you will do

• Run daily development meetings and lead weekly project meetings with Business Operations, including demos as appropriate.
• Manage the project backlog (features, product backlog items, tasks, and bugs) and refine requirements with stakeholders.
• Assign work to the development team with clear deliverables and deadlines; prioritize tasks and remove roadblocks.
• Identify cross-team dependencies and coordinate delivery across multiple projects.
• Apply software engineering processes (iterative development, unit testing, source control, inspections, and reviews) using AI-assisted tools.
• Spend about 50% of time hands-on in development and learn the business model and enterprise applications.

Requirements

• 5+ years developing software on the Microsoft stack.
• 2+ years in a team lead or management role in a corporate software setting.
• Deep understanding of Agile design principles and experience leading Agile teams.
• Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2012+), including schema design and Transact-SQL stored procedures and complex queries.
• Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, and ASP.NET MVC.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
