What you will do

• Develop backend services and data processing pipelines to efficiently handle large volumes of healthcare data.
• Integrate and optimize AI components, including LLMs, to power intelligent features and insights.
• Collaborate with frontend, data, and AI teams to deliver seamless, data-rich user experiences.
• Own end-to-end feature development from conception through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Implement observability for services and data pipelines (monitoring, logging, alerting, autoscaling) to support diagnostics and performance insights.
• Apply best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

• U.S. applicants only
• 5+ years of backend development experience building scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern backend languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and relational databases.
• Strong system design and backend observability experience (monitoring, logging, alerting, autoscaling).

Nice to have

• Experience with message queues, data streaming platforms, and vector databases.
• Experience building real-world applications with LLM tooling (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex) and prompt engineering.
• Experience with RAG systems and AI-driven similarity search.
• Familiarity with FHIR and healthcare interoperability standards.
